Rimini, Italy

Am stat 3 zile in Rimini, in luna iulie, am inchiriat un apartament fix langa plaja si am fost placut surprinsa.

I spent 3 days in Rimini in July,  in an apartment right next to the beach and I was pleasantly surprised. I imagined crowds and noise, but I found large, well-organized beaches, quiet, not very crowded, reasonable prices (much lower compared to Belgium). Each piece of beach has its own sun loungers, a dining area with tables and restaurants and a huge playground for children. The water is not deep, it was warm, being perfect for children.

I really relaxed!

Andreea – portrait 2017

I’m glad to show you the photos of Andreea that I took a few days ago. She is a wonderful girl with big green eyes (you may remember her from here).
We took photos in the garden, among apples and pumpkins, then we went to the nearby abandoned railroad track. We had a great time on the streets with a wooden suitcase, almost a century old. These are the photos:

Vad ca-ti arde-a glume / Eu ma duc in lume

Cam asta a iesit:

Ravenna, Italy

Let’s continue the Italian photographic trip with Ravenna. We spent a night in the center of town at a beautiful house with a large garden (perfect for a hyperactive toddler). We quickly visited the city and, because it was very hot and the day was long, we decided to go to the beach which is 10 minutes drive away.

Modena, Italy

I really like Italy. This was the fourth time I visited and I still have so much more to see …

It seems to me a beautiful, civilized country with the most beautiful language on earth. This time we have traveled to the Emilia-Romagna region, in places less visited by tourists: Modena, Ravenna, San Marino, at sea in Ravenna and Rimini, and ended up relaxing in the countryside next to Forli.

Let’s start with the beginning. First destination Modena. I wanted to get there after watching the 2nd season of “Master of None” (BTW, brilliant series). I’m leaving you with some pictures of the city.

Imi place mult Italia.

Prima destinatie Modena. Mi-am dorit sa ajung acolo dupa ce am vazut sezonul 2 din “Master of None” (btw, genial serialul). Va las cu cateva poze din oras.

Lommel Sahara, Belgium

Friday was a day off in Belgium (July 21, the National Day) and (OMG!) the sky was clear and the temperature was about 22 degrees, so we made a trip to a beautiful place (which I happened to read about in a magazine in the dentist’s waiting room) :)) Lommelse Sahara. I do not understand how I have not heard of this place in my six years of living in Belgium. It is about an hour and a half drive from Brussels and is perfect for a day trip in the nature. The entrance is free, the relaxation is maximum.

I’ll leave you with the pictures and if (inspired by my post: D) you visit the place, tell me how you liked it. I liked it a lot.

This is the address of the place: De Soeverein, Sportveldenstraat 10, 3920 Lommel

Fes, Morocco

Fes was the last destination of our week in Morocco. We’ve stayed for 3 nights at a Riad near the Blue Gate in the Medina. We had 2 full days to visit everything we wanted.

The amazing part is that the Medina in Fes is a super maze of hundreds of narrow streets, full of shops, people, animals.

Some of the alleys in the Medina have a roof, and the light shines through the cracks creating a magical light effect.

You will deffinetly get lost if you venture yourself without a paid guide or a gps.

Fes a fost ultima destinatie din saptamana petrecuta in Maroc.

Rabat, Morocco

We’ve spent one night in Rabat, on the way from Marrakech to Fes. The time was enough to see some of the most important attractions (we had some time in the evening a a bit in the next morning)

Am stat in Rabat o singura noapte, in drumul din Marrakech spre Fes.

Cine a crescut catel/pisica in casa intelege.

Cu cat a inaintat in varsta a devenit mai calma. Blanita era alba cu multi pistrui maro. Manca mai mult. Statea lipita de picioarele noastre cand ne lungeam in pat. Dadea ture prin casa, alergand, in special dupa ce ii faceam baie. Se ascundea sub pat cand auzea dusul pornind. Ziua ii placea sa doarma in locuri inghesuite si intunecate.

Dar in shimb ii placea cand mergeam in drumetii pe munte.

Astazi ne-a parasit.

Marrakech, Morocco

A trip planned two years ago and abandoned at the last moment due to pregnancy nausea, but resumed this year on my birthday, this time in 3. First stop: Marrakech. We stayed in the Medina (the old town) in an extraordinarily beautiful Riad. I will not give you details about the city and Morocco, there is plenty of info on the internet. Instead I will share a few of my impressions and obviously plenty of pictures.

  • What impressed me most were the loudspeakers on the four sides of all the mosque towers, which at certain hours they called to prayer – 4-5 in the morning, 8, 12, etc. … when you least expected (e.g. at baby’s nap time).
  • In the Medina there are many narrow, dusty, crowded streets (pedestrians and motorbikes). The interesting part is that all week while I was in Morocco, although I was going through crowds, nobody hit me by mistake.
  • People seemed very nice and servile. I did not feel assaulted, aggrieved, cheated.
  • The services we had in the Riads (the homes we stayed with) exceeded my expectations. The staff took care of everything, they were doing their best to help us with whatever we wanted.
  • Moroccan food – I did not particularly like. I ate in many places and all my meals seemed extremely oily
  • They have many (MANY) cats: both on the streets and in the Riads

I’m leaving you with the pictures, for I’m better with pictures than with words. I hope you will enjoy and get inspire to travel 🙂

Calatorie planificata acum doi ani, dar abandonata in ultima clipa datorita greturilor de sarcina, dar reluata anul acesta de ziua mea, de data asta in 3. Prima oprire: Marrakech.

  • Serviciile de care am avut parte in Riaduri (casele in care am stat) au intrecut asteptarile.
  • Mancarea marocana nu mi-a placut in mod deosebit.

Tenerife, Jan. 2017

united_kingdomI admit, I was a bit stressed about the vacation in Tenerife with our 14 month toddler, for the first time flying with him (4 and half hour one), and also about how will we manage with the food for him (breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks in between). But all turned out to be just fine: the flight was ok and the hotel offered All Inclusive, so there were plenty of options for baby to eat, including snacks and drinks all day long.

We were spending the days being outdoors a lot, at the beach or taking long walks. The baby would waste his energy exploring and investigating every single thing and we were running after him.

The thing I liked the most in Tenerife was the Teide Volcano National Parc. It was so quiet there that you could hear your own heartbeat, the landscape was dry and surrounded by giant rocks.

Enjoy the photos!

One year after

romania_flagFix acum un an postam poze cu burtica de 38 de saptamani, in peisaj de toamna in Bois de la Cambre din Bruxelles. Acum ne-am reintors in exact acelasi loc sa repetam sedinta foto, dar de data asta in formula de “trei”.

Iata pozele de atunci si de acum. Mie imi sunt foarte dragi, sper sa va placa. Primele 5 sunt colaje cu “Inainte si Dupa”

united_kingdomExactly one year ago I posted photos of me pregnant, in Bois de la Cambre in Bruxelles. This year we came back to the same place and repeated the photo-shoot, but this time in “Three”.

Enjoy these photos that are very dear to me. I hope you like them. The first ones are the “Before and After”
