Veves Castle and Celles Village, Belgium
Castle of Veves
What a lovely way to spend an warm autumn Sunday visiting this fairy tale castle: the Castle of Veves. Maybe Cinderella lived here? It surely looks like it 😉
Veves Castle (“Chateau de Veves” in French) dates back from the 15th century and it has 6 towers. The landscape around the castle is quiet and beautiful and it’s located near the village Celles.
You can visit the Castle of Veves from 1st of April till 4th of November, from 10:00 to 17:00 (closed on Monday and Friday, opened on Public Holidays)
Imi imaginez balul Cenuseresei cand si-a pierdut pantoful.
E deschis din 1 Aprilie pana pe 4 Noiembrie, de la 10:00-17:00. Inchis Luni si Vineri. Deschis de sarbatorile legale.

Village of Celles
After visiting the Veves Castle, we went to the nearby village, Celles. What a fantastic idea that was!
The village of Celles has a few stone houses decorated with flowers and other ornaments, a lovely restaurant and many cows and sheep on the surrounding fields.
The fresh air and quietness make you feel an overwhelming happiness that only a place like this can offer, away from the crowds and pollution of big cities. I hardly left the place, with a promise that I will, one day, go back.
