Brugge, Belgium
Ah, Bruges, “The Venice of the North”! What a great city to visit and photograph. Its architecture favors the pictures and is a delight for the eye!
Only one hour by train from Brussels, Bruges is always flooded with tourists, but never so crowded that one can’t find a nice, cozy place in a pub for a cold beer.
I’ve been to Brugge 3 times and each time I discovered new places, quiet little streets along the canals- away from the the tourist path, houses with cats in the window! (as I mentioned in my previous post about Ghent) or “interesting” statues – as you can see in the following pictures 😉
Don’t forget to visit the Chocolate Museum (Choco Story), which is located not far from the Burg Square. You will learn about the history of chocolate and at the end a well-deserved chocolate making demonstration with free tasting! Yummy!
Enjoy the pictures (with a furry surprise at the end) and let me know if you liked them 🙂

Oh well, if it isn’t a lovely little chocolate shop!

Heaven!

I loved the view of this pigeon sitting peacefully on the head of the statue.

Simply beautiful

Color explosion. The weather was exceptionally hot that day, and not a cloud in the sky.

Cosy chairs, cars and a gorgeus church.

How nice must be to live in one of these houses!

Again, beautiful architecture, brick walls and nice roofs.

Observe the roofs of these old houses in the city centre!

This quay is very popular for photography, and it offers one of the most beautiful views of the belfry.

The Belfry tower in the main square. Here is where they shoot some scenes of movie “In Bruges”. Good movie, I liked it!

Each beer has it’s own special glass to be served in. Interesting!

And, to finish this post how I started…They are really beautiful these belgian cats, and this one seems very used to be being admired

Belgian cats staying in the window. Big, beautiful and lazy.

Amazing shots!
Beautiful images! I really wanted to try and get to Bruges this spring, but not sure I will be able to do so. It is very high on my list of places I want to visit. You captured it wonderfully!
One of the best town. ❤
