Château de Jehay, Belgium
The domain and its history
Château de Jehay is recognizable among all others thanks to its famous checker-board cladding, made up of thick white chalk stone bonders alternating with brown sandstone rubble stones.
In the footsteps of Guy van den Steen, sculptor
In the park, the sculptures by the former proprietor of these premises are a real talking point…A journey through the arts of the land of imaginary characters: the Praying Mantis, Innocence, Venus bathing, Ophelia, and many others.
Wherever the wind takes you
Linked to the château by a five-arched bridge, the Italian-style gardens extend as far as the eye can see. A stroll amongst the remarkable trees is a pure pleasure. Allow yourself to be guided by the murmur of the wind in the leaves.
