Seneffe Castle, Belgium
It became a habit that every weekend I go discover Belgium’s marvels: palaces, castles or ruins. Now, in autumn, it’s even more beautiful!
Seneffe castle was my choice for this beautiful late October and it was amazing! The garden was quiet at sunset and the warm weather made it perfect to relax and enjoy the fresh air.
The access to the park and gardens is free and for the Castle/Museum is 5 euros for adults.
After visiting the castle’s park, I went in the town of Seneffe and discovered a beautiful brick church and many children dressed for Halloween, running around and hiding, playing some sort of game and trowing balls at each other. It was a perfect Saturday afternoon!
The castle behind yellow trees
There were some coloured, little statues in the front courtyard, all of them carrying plastic bottles
Halloween is taken seriously in Belgium. Children dress scary and go out on the streets
Don’t miss:
- Beloeil Castle in Belgium
- The castle of Veves, Belgium
- The ruins of Havre
- La Hulpe castle next to Brussels
- Rusty autumn at Modave Castle
- Lavaux Sainte Anne Castle
Some lovely trees and light. particularly like the Castle behind yellow trees picture – it is like a painting. MM 🍀
Thanks so much! I really like that picture, is one of my favourites 🙂
I can see why. We all have our favourites and I was disappointed one of mine fell out my ‘top ten’. 😞
